Northern Line
The 1959 stock on the Northern Line was beginning to shows its ages and was in need of refurbishment or replacement. So a deal between train manufacturer ALSTHOM saw 106 New 1995 Stock trains built. The final 1959 stock was withdrawn in 2000 with a trip from Morden to Edgware Via Charing Cross.
