The 1973 Stock Page

Piccadilly Line

With the Heathrow Central Extension underway a replacement rolling stock was sought that could handle the extra number of passengers from and two the airport was sought. The Answer was the 1973 Stock which was made up of 6 car units replacing the original 7 car trains of 1959 stock. Recently the 1973 Stock has been refurbished and painted into LU livery.
