The 1960 Stock

Central Line

With the Central lines Standard Stock becoming unreliable a new stock was needed. So 6 prototype trains were constructed by Cravens of Sheffield this stock was known as the 1960 stock and was first made up of pre 1938 stock trailers & later had 1938 stock trailers added in.

The Units were regularly employed on Hainault Woodford Shuttles here seen at Roding Valley

Now in private ownership the Unit performed a shuttle between East Finchley & High Barnet

Seen in the Siding At East Finchley

Having Detrained its Passengers from the First trip from high Barnet the unit is ready to head back into the Siding At East Finchley

Having Come out of the Siding the unit is now ready for the next northbound service to High Barnet

The unit was seen for most of the day performing the shuttle between Chalfont & Chesham

In its current home In Ruislip depot the unit is being moved for inspection
