The 1938 Stock
Bakerloo, Central, East London, Jubilee, Northern & Piccadilly Lines

Drawing of the 1938 Stock
The First "tube stock" to have its motors fitted under the train rather then previous trains were the motor took up valuable space in the motor car. These Trains remained in service on the Underground till the late eighties. There is a converted 1938 stock in use as a tunnel cleaning train, London Transport Museum owns a 4 car set which comes out to play on special occasions. The 1938 stock is still in service today on the Isle of Wight.
